Georgia-Pacific Completes Anchor Packaging Acquisition

Atlanta - Today, Georgia-Pacific completed the acquisition of Anchor Packaging, a leading manufacturer of rigid food containers and cling film for the food service, retail and processor channels, following regulatory review.

Georgia-Pacific today finalized acquiring Anchor Packaging, recognized for its innovative food packaging solutions that maintain food quality for longer periods, and offer tamper-secure options. 

Anchor Packaging’s team of talented employees will be joining the Consumer Products Group to expand our portfolio of products and substrates as part of a new, scalable platform called GP Foodservice Solutions. This new business will encompass Dixie, Anchor Packaging and any future acquisitions or expansions in this space.

Anchor Packaging’s assets include four manufacturing facilities and two warehouses that produce and distribute a wide array of food containers and film products that preserve food quality, taste and texture. The company employs approximately 1,250 employees.
